Parent’s whooping cough vaccine program
Pregnant women and their partners are eligible for free pertussis containing vaccine. Vaccinating women against pertussis in the third trimester of every pregnancy provides two-for-one protection. The mother is protected and antibodies produced against pertussis during pregnancy are transferred to the infant in utero, providing the newborn infant with protection.
